Monodein Theatre Company presents: What Lies

The year is 2035 – and a decade has passed since the residents of the village had any contact with the outside world – since “it” happened. Life’s routines continue for brothers Ezekiel and Ross; the benevolent Leader watching over them, keeping them safe; and the Enforcer ensuring peace.

Prosperity is promised, but with no change after ten years and people mysteriously dying, the brothers’ tense bond snaps as they are driven to opposing sides.

A disturbing glimpse into a world where disinformation rules, dissent is an offence and families torn apart.

This urgently relevant political drama offers a dystopian vision of where we may be heading.

Minimum age recommendation: 14+
