Bryn is a Senior Lecturer in Acting and course director of the BA Acting. Bryn teaches across our undergraduate acting programme.

Bryn trained as an actor, had a successful acting career for over ten years – including work with The Royal Shakespeare Company, Manchester Royal Exchange etc - before transitioning into directing. In 2016, he became the resident assistant director at the New Vic Theatre as well as Associate Director for Hammerpuzzle Theatre Company.

Bryn joined RBC as a visiting lecturer / guest director in 2018 and was subsequently appointed as the course director for BA Acting in 2025.

For RBC Bryn has directed Little Women the musical, Urinetown, The Clock Maker’s Daughter, Bronte, Macbeth and The Grand Gesture.

Bryn holds an MA in Shakespeare and Theatre and is currently working on his PhD.

Bryn remains an active theatre director - regularly staging work in mid-scale regional venues. This ensures the latest industry knowledge, practice and connections are brought to his role at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
