Born and raised in Hong Kong, and now resident in the UK. Andy Yau trained in Musical Theatre Dance at The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts and achieved a Master of Arts degree in Acting from The Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.

Beside working as an actor, Andy also works as a Cantonese interpreter for the NHS and Tai Chi instructor as well as providing movement training and support for the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
