The emerging talent of RBC’s Woodwind department has been recognised professionally, as five students have been invited into the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra (CBSO) to play professionally.

Japheth Law (flute), James Mackinder (clarinet), Archie Auger (bassoon), Tommy Hill (oboe) and Nathan Isaac (bass clarinet) have all joined the region’s leading orchestra over the past few months.

Head of Woodwind Jenni Phillips said: “We are thrilled that five of our woodwind students and recent graduates have been invited into the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra to play professionally. This is a real honour and testament to the high standard of playing in the department.”
