Royal Birmingham Conservatoire student musicians will take to the stage alongside Birmingham Royal Ballet (BRB) as part of a week-long residency at The REP, presented by BRB board member and Senior Lecturer in Journalism Marverine Cole.
BRB will be presenting a week-long residency at The Rep from 8-14 May, which will showcase dancers, new dance talent and the Royal Ballet Sinfonia. The centrepiece of the residency will be Dance Track 25, an event marking the 25th anniversary of BRB's talent development programme.
On Friday 13 and Saturday 14 May, Marverine Cole will host an evening of world-class ballet featuring the Royal Ballet Sinfonia and BRB dancers, alongside performances by singers from the Conservatoire.
In an interview with a local news outlet, BRB Director Carlos Acosta said: “The interplay of music and dance in these events creates a unique dynamic that also serves to introduce ballet to classical music fans and classical music to fans of ballet, but also it is, purely and simply, a wonderful way to spend an afternoon or evening with young family members and friends.”
