Congratulations to two student pianists for recent teaching successes.

MMus pianist Fiorella Barbaro has been appointed as Graduate Assistant at Bloxham School, an independent boarding and day school in Oxfordshire. Her role will include teaching one-to-one piano lessons and whole class lessons, and accompanying students for recitals and assessments.

Fiorella said: “I am beyond excited to be starting this new chapter in my career, and I cannot wait to see what more the future has in store for me!”

BMus pianist Thuy-Vi Nguyen is also enjoying success in teaching. Currently a peripatetic teacher at Edgbaston High School for Girls in Birmingham, she recently received an offer from the University of Cambridge to study for a PGCE in Secondary Music.

Thuy-Vi said: “Having spent the last couple of years studying pedagogy at RBC, I’m looking forward to continuing my studies within the music education field.”

Director of Postgraduate Studies (Music) Dr Luan Shaw said: “We are delighted that we can play our part in nurturing the next generation of music educators at RBC and see this as a vital part of our work.”
