Paul Englishby, who wrote a BAFTA-nominated score for the BBC’s 'Luther' series, and composed the orchestral score to Oscar-nominated film 'An Education', has worked on new BRB piece 'Imminent', which received its world premiere last night at Birmingham Repertory Theatre.
In an exclusive hour-long Q&A Zoom session hosted by RBC Composition alumna and Visiting Tutor Dr Bobbie-Jane Gardner, students heard about Paul’s career to date and received advice on working in the industry, as well as learning about the challenges of composing during the pandemic.
'Imminent', by Daniela Cardim and part of the 'Curated by Carlos' Birmingham Royal Ballet triple bill, runs at Birmingham Repertory Theatre until Saturday 12 June 2021.
