Jonathan is a keen amateur organist with an interest in all performing arts. He qualified M.B., Ch.B. in 1978 from University of Birmingham Medical School. He was Senior Partner at Penn Manor Medical Centre, Wolverhampton and was an Honorary Clinical Lecturer in Primary Care at the University of Birmingham.
Jonathan became involved with the British Association for Performing Arts Medicine (BAPAM) [please preserve existing link to BAPAM] in 1997. He was appointed AMABO doctor to the CBSO in 2003 and, forged links with Birmingham City University advising students with performance related-medical problems.
Jonathan is an Honorary Fellow of the Conservatoire, a Trustee of BAPAM and is a member of the Healthy Conservatoires Network. He is now a Performance Health Advisor to the RBC and has an education role with BAPAM’s Trainer Network.
