Jason studied at Birmingham Conservatoire. He graduated with first class honours, an advanced postgraduate diploma with distinction, numerous prizes and became an Honorary member of the institution in 2014.

As a Visiting Tutor, he contributes to the department in the areas of solo percussion, percussion ensemble, community engagement and percussion pedagogy Professionally, Jason enjoys working in the widest range of styles and has performed at top festivals across musical genres (e.g. Glastonbury; pop/rock, London Jazz Festival; jazz, BBC Proms; classical, RSC; shows). TV and radio media appearance have also been diverse from live broadcasts on stations such as BBC Radio 3 and BBC Wales to KerrangFM and Serbian national television!

As a member of the Maraca2 percussion duo, he has performed around the world and appeared at all the leading percussion festivals including an evening concert at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention. Maraca2 have appeared at over 40 Universities worldwide giving master classes and concerts and have commissioned numerous new works. Maraca2 are directors of the World Percussion Group, an innovative ensemble providing the World’s leading young percussionists with the opportunity to tour around a range of countries, delivering performances and masterclasses at leading Conservatoires and Universities.

Jason is an endorsing artist for Sabian, Innovative Percussion, Pearl Percussion, Remo and Marimba One.
