Jacqueline Pischorn

German language coach

Jacqueline Pischorn was born in Austria and studied singing at the University of Music and Dramatic Arts in Graz and at Trinity College of Music in London where she worked with conductors Diego Masson and Peter Stark.  She studied contemporary music at the Britten Pears School with Oliver Knussen and Rosemary Hardy.

Jacqueline has sung as soloist for a wide variety of UK choral societies including at St John’s Smith Square in London and Codagon Hall, London.

Recital work takes Jacqueline around the UK, Austria and Slovenia.

Jacqueline works as German language coach for Welsh National Opera, the Royal Welsh College of Music, Wales International Academy of Voice (WIAV), Cardiff University, The Wagner Society, and has worked for De Nationale Reisopera (Netherlands) and Morley College London.  From 2019 she will work on Der Ring der Nibelungen for Longborough Festival.

In 2007 her book ‘German diction for English-speaking singers’ was published by Caddy Publishing, supported by the Royal Welsh College of Music.  The second edition of her book was published in September 2018 by Augarten Press.
