The School of Law has been at the forefront of innovative law teaching for more than 40 years. Renowned for our emphasis on vocational courses and close links with law firms throughout the region, we have also gained an international reputation as a major centre for academically rigorous legal education and training.
Our two replica court rooms, Legal Advice & Representation Unit and virtual solicitors’ office give you the opportunity to experience real-world situations as part of your studies. We also offer a unique USA internship opportunity. Our academic staff are engaged in internationally recognised research. Much of this is conducted through our Centre for American Legal Studies. We work with the legal profession and related bodies to deliver work-based and continuing professional development courses.
