Dan is a lecturer in criminology at Birmingham City University, where he has taught since 2016. Prior to his work at BCU, Dan completed his Masters in Psychological Science at University of Glasgow. His main research interest gravitates around supporting released homicide offenders in desisting from crime.
Externally, Dan was involved with the accreditation process of HMP Springhill as an Enabling Environment (accreditation awarded by the Royal College of Psychiatry).
Currently, he is responsible with preparing students for the annual ‘Grendon Debate’. Dan makes an impact through research informed and practice based teaching as well as through supporting students’ learning experience.
