Joseph Jacob [pictured] holds a first-class degree in Music from the University of Uyo, Nigeria. Beginning as a self-taught organist, Joseph was privileged to be a recipient of the Allan & Nesta Ferguson Foundation scholarship award, through which he was able to complete a postgraduate diploma study in Organ Performance at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire under the tutelage of Daniel Moult and Nicholas Wearne.
He has also received masterclasses from world-renowned professors across Europe and the US and has been a church organist for over 15 years across two Cathedrals and two university chapels in Nigeria. Currently an organist at St Michael's & All Angels Church, South Yardley, Joseph is pursuing a master's degree at RBC and is deeply grateful to the donors who have made it possible for him to further develop his organ playing skills whilst serving as an inspiration to aspiring organists back home in Nigeria.
Adam Heron is currently Organ Scholar at Coventry Cathedral, alongside which he is studying for the MMus degree in organ performance at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. He was previously organ scholar at Peterborough Cathedral, where he accompanied services and supported the training of the choristers.
Adam is originally from Durham and started piano lessons at a young age, later learning to play the organ. He studied engineering at the University of Sheffield and, after graduating, worked for three years in Durham for a local renewable energy company, while continuing freelance musical work. In 2024 he made the decision to pursue a career in music, taking up the Organ Scholarship at Peterborough Cathedral in September of that year.
Adam is a prize-winning Associate of the Royal College of Organists, and an Associate of the Royal Schools of Music.
