Since the launch of the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire Association (RBCA) fundraising appeal in June 2022, event attendees have generously donated more than £7,000 to the RBCA Fund via the ticket booking system.

The RBCA, RBC and our students would like to thank all those who donated funds, which will be used to provide bursaries for students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

As the new 2023/24 academic year approaches, the RBCA will be changing its fundraising appeal to support the outreach initiatives led by the Learning and Participation Team.

Head of Learning and Participation Richard Shrewsbury said: “Every year the Learning and Participation programme supports more than 3,000 young people from diverse backgrounds across the UK.

“Music and the performing arts have the power to change lives and improve young people's self-confidence, as well as social and emotional wellbeing. Our extensive outreach programme continues to make these differences through the support of generous charities, trusts and donors.

“Your support for the programme will provide more young people with the opportunity to access high quality music and acting outreach provision – supporting young people with their artistic aspirations. Thank you!”
