The RBC Organ Department took a trip to Germany last week thanks to a generous donation from the Margaret and Graeme Saggerson Memorial Fund.

The department visited Leipzig, Dresden and the surrounding region, including a trip to St Wenzel's Church, Naumburg, where the team inspected the Hildebrandt organ that had been played by JS Bach.

Head of Organ Daniel Moult and colleague Nicholas Wearne also gave a concert to a large audience, which included over 100 local primary school children, alongside members of the German press.

Daniel said: “The visit was a huge musical and educational success. The audience were enthralled, and it was an invaluable and long-lasting experience for our students. Thanks again to the Margaret and Graeme Saggerson Memorial Fund for making this trip possible.”
