Acting alumna and Honorary Fellow returns to Birmingham in a creative retelling of a Christmas classic with new songs by Lloyd Webber and Rice.

RBC Honorary Fellow and Acting alumna Deb Tracey has returned to Birmingham as Queen Victoria in the world premiere of Sherlock Holmes and the 12 Days of Christmas.

This new festive murder mystery, based on the classic Arthur Conan Doyle tale, includes original songs by dynamite duo Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice. The production will run at the Rep until Sunday 18 January 2026.

Critics such as Culture Bab have described the production as, “Funny and clever, a festive murder mystery that you won’t want to miss,” while The Guardian commented that the show was “gleefully theatrical”.

As an honorary fellowship recipient, Tracey has been recognised for her contribution to the life and work of RBC.

Deb posted on Instagram: “I've had the privilege of gracing many amazing stages over the years but the main stage at The Rep is particularly special. As a child, I saw A Christmas Carol here back in 1989. Now, I'm back 36 years later, performing in another Victorian Christmas adventure, a beautiful full-circle moment and I'm having the time of my life.”

You can purchase tickets through the Birmingham Rep website.
