The Camarillo Trio and Epsilon Brass recently visited The Blue Coat School to give performances to young children.
Both ensembles were coached by the Learning and Participation Team and booked through RBC’s Book a Musician service.
The Blue Coat School is introducing a Friday afternoon recital programme, and inviting young and upcoming musicians (soloists and ensembles) to play a programme for pupils as part of a music enrichment programme.
The aim is to have one performance each half term up until June 2024. Recitals will last around 45 minutes and include a question and answer session.
The school is open to a range of ensembles, particularly brass and woodwind ensembles, as it is hoping to increase the uptake of these instruments in school.
Music teacher at The Blue Coat School Julia Creaton said: “On behalf of The Blue Coat School, I would like to send my warmest thanks for sending your wonderful musicians to perform for the children. On both occasions your students played beautifully and interacted brilliantly with the children, who were no doubt inspired by the performances.”
