Summer opera success

UNIVERSITY NEWS LAST UPDATED : 25 JUNE

Advanced Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Performance student and soprano Lixin Liu has been awarded a Chorus Fellowship with English National Opera (ENO). Lixin will join ENO on a nine-month fixed-term contract in August.

As a Chorus Fellow, Lixin will rehearse, perform and understudy for chorus work. She will also wear costume, wigs and make-up at stage rehearsals and performances, as well as undertaking recordings for audio and visual use.

Lixin said: “I’m so thrilled and really looking forward to working with the prestigious ENO, starting in August. I’m very grateful and really appreciate the help, guidance and support I had at RBC. I wouldn’t be where I am today without RBC.”

"We are delighted to receive news of Lixin’s success. Yet more proof that RBC singers are holding their own in a competitive industry."
