Head of Screen and Audio Francesco Gabriele has been welcomed as a member of the European Film Academy, one of the most respected organisations in the international film industry.

The Academy brings together more than 5,700 film professionals from across 60 countries and is dedicated to celebrating, promoting and protecting the culture of European cinema. Francesco is one of 640 new members who have joined its growing community of filmmakers, artists and industry leaders this year.

Founded in 1989 by legendary director Ingmar Bergman and 40 leading filmmakers, the European Film Academy was established to advance the interests of the European film industry. Over the years, the Academy has been led by some of cinema’s most influential figures, including Wim Wenders, Agnieszka Holland and current President Juliette Binoche. The organisation continues to play a vital role in supporting filmmakers, sharing knowledge and educating audiences about European cinema.

Francesco's membership marks an important professional milestone, placing him among a distinguished network of filmmakers whose work contributes to the strength and diversity of European film culture.

Francesco said: "I'm honoured and grateful to join the European Film Academy, an inspiring community I've long admired and am excited to be part of. I am looking forward to contributing and learning.”
