James Parsons is an international recitalist, Head of Student Development at the Royal College of Organists (RCO) and a visiting organ tutor at Birmingham Conservatoire.

Formerly Director of Music at Oundle School, he founded and directed for 25 years the Oundle International Festival, with its unique Oundle for Organists programmes.

Aside from his work at the Conservatoire, James Parsons is a teacher at St Giles International Organ School with pupils in London, Cambridge and Newcastle, and a Vice-President of The Organ Club. He is also President of the Newcastle and District Society of Organists.

At the RCO, he has served on the Trustee Council and is a member of the College’s Academic Board and Examiners’ Panel. He was Education Editor of Organists’ Review from 1999 to 2005 and has released three CDs.
