Environment and Sustainability Research

With the appointment of Mark Reed to the innovative position of Professor of Interdisciplinary Environmental Research, CESR is developing more in the direction of rural and natural environments, and their management particularly in terms of sustainability, environmental change, and the use of concepts such as ecosystems services. Thus clearly engages with our existing track record of work on the rural-urban fringe (RELU project, led by Professor Alister Scott) and the expertise of Claudia Carter (who joined us from Forest Research).
