Pamela Thomas is the LLB Admissions Tutor and a Lecturer in the School of Law. She is currently the module leader for the Legal Method module on the Post Graduate Diploma in Law and also Liaison Tutor for the LLB (Hons) Law with Criminology pathway.
Senior Fellow and Programme Director BA Legal Studies
Alison Turnbull completed her first degree at the University of Leicester and went on to qualify as a solicitor in private practice, working with the firm Eversheds. She joined Birmingham City University in 1989.
Senior Lecturer in Law, Deputy Director of Research
Ozlem Ulgen is Deputy Director of Research and a Senior Lecturer in Law. She has conducted legal consultancy work for the South African State Attorney’s Department, the British Council in Chile and the Quebec provincial government.
Lecturer, Module Leader for Employment Law
Raju Verman studied Law at Wolverhampton University and proceeded to complete his LPC, also at Wolverhampton University. During his undergraduate degree he was awarded the ‘Sweet & Maxwell’ prize for outstanding achievement in Company Law.
Professor of Human Rights and Director of the Centre for Human Rights
Jon Yorke is a Reader in Law in the School of Law and Director of the Centre for American Legal Studies. Jon's main interests include European Human Rights, English and European Medical Law, Capital Punishment, Legal Theory and Legal Research.
