Tong Hao

Working directly from her photographic exploration and own feelings of the urban street environment, Tong has explored her work with the geometrical structure. Working with materials including metal, leather and found materials such as stones and glass, she focuses on exploring three-dimensional structures, the connection of the different materials and experimenting with the surface texture. She has produced collections of wearable pieces with different functions.

Tong’s works are consider with clear colour. Techniques include the use of industrial powder coating to hand applied metal oxidization, not only using traditional techniques, but also using something unusual to challenge audience's view of jewellery.

Ultimately she aims to create a series of jewellery which can present her personal interests and encourage the wearer to discover, play with and enjoy.
