Graduates are invited to shake hands with the Chancellor/Vice Chancellor/Chairman (depending on who is presenting the ceremony).
If you are not comfortable with shaking hands, please put your hands behind your back as you cross the stage. The person presenting the ceremony will doff their cap to you (tilt their cap in acknowledgement of your award).
Graduates will be guided to a seat in the hall after walking across the stage. This seat will likely be different to the seat you were originally allocated.
