Guest tickets and seating
Your graduation ceremony is on the horizon! So it's time to book tickets for your family and friends to join in celebrations on your special day.
As a graduate, you don't need to buy a ticket as yours is provided free of charge. These will be available for you to collect at the registration desk when you arrive on the day of your graduation ceremony.
Graduating students are seated in the stalls of the hall. Those receiving the same award title will sit together, within classification and alphabetical order. We ask graduates to ensure coat and bags are stored in the cloakroom (£1 charge) or left with guests before entering the hall. Guests are seated in the upper levels of the hall.
Each graduate can purchase up to a maximum of two guest tickets to ensure equal opportunity is given for all graduates and their families to attend the ceremonies due to there being limited seats available.
Guest tickets are not automatically reserved and for larger ceremonies are likely to sell out very quickly. Therefore, we recommend that you purchase guest tickets as soon as you have completed your online registration.
If you attempt to purchase more than two guest tickets, these will be cancelled and a refund will be requested on your behalf. Please do not purchase tickets on behalf of another graduate as these will be also be cancelled.
All guest tickets need to be purchased via the Symphony Hall box office either via their website or by calling: +44 121 780 3333. Tickets cost £20.00 for adults and £10.00 for children (aged 18 months - 14 years), plus £3 booking fee. For information about our policy on children attending please see our FAQs page below.
A ticket must be purchased for each of your two guests who may be attending the ceremony and the dates these will become available on sale are listed in the table below.
