For over twenty years Ros worked for some of the top advertising agencies in the UK and Australia such as TBWA and CDP, creating award-winning advertising for brands such as Sony PlayStation and Nike. She has won many prestigious awards, including one Gold Lion and two silvers at the Cannes International Advertising Festival, a D&AD pencil for copywriting, a “One Show’ USA Silver Pencil plus awards at Creative circle and Campaign Magazine Press & Poster.
Her proudest achievement is a campaign for Crisis shot by top photographer, Terry O’Neil, which raised a great deal of money and awareness for the plight of London’s Homeless.
In 2013 Ros spoke at the ‘Who needs Copywriters’ conference in Bournemouth University and in September 2014 she is speaking at the Professional Copywriters’ Network Conference.
In 2013 she also curated the exhibition, TIME, a retrospective of the work of Ian Emes, the original Pink Floyd Animator.
Over the years, Ros has worked with an array of famous film directors, illustrators, animators and photographers including Ian Emes, Tony Scott, Mike Newall, Martin Campbell, John Lloyd, Darren Walsh and Jonathan Glazer and she believes that collaboration is key to creative success for students. Ros’ students have gone on to work for global networks such as Saatchi and Saatchi, DDB and Y&R and have been successful in both local and national competitions.
Ros is currently conducting practice-based research in advertising agencies to learn the new skills required by today’s Advertising Agencies and to pass this knowledge on to her students.
For the past few years Ros has taught on the IVE SHAPE programme in Hong Kong and enjoys teaching students from all over the world.
Ros has helped secure placements for her students with agencies such as Leo Burnett and Dare in London and has been developing the ‘TALK Creative’ programme for the School of Visual Communication where top Advertising Art directors and Creative Directors such as the great Art Director and Designer, Paul Belford and ECO of ARC, Beri Cheetham have been Guest Speakers.
In 2013 Ros led a School of Viscom trip to the Venice Biennale, which proved highly inspirational for students and so she intends to do the trip again in 2015 and beyond!

Ros has an MA from Glasgow University, an HND in Advertising writing from Watford college, a Certificate in Higher education and a PGCE.
Ros has been a member of D&AD (about to renew membership) and has been invited onto the Jury of D&AD several times in her professional career. She has also been on the jury of the British Television Advertising Awards, Australian Advertising Awards (AWARD) and the New Zealand Advertising Awards (CAANZ).

Ros was a Senior Creative for Still Price Lintas, CDP, Simons Palmer, Fallon, Leo Burnett and Spinach Melbourne. A creative Group head at TBWA GGT. A Creative Director at Leagas Delaney London and BMF Australia.
She is currently working on various projects with local Birmingham agencies as part of her research.
Ros has developed strong links with local agencies such as Chapter, One Black Bear and Cogent Elliot in Birmingham who regularly set briefs for her students as part of the course.
Ros has taken parties of students to visit London agencies such as Dare, Wieden & Kennedy, Albion, Glue and Saatchi and Saatchi.
