Birmingham TechFest
is a city-wide celebration of technology, engineering and science.
Run by Birmingham City University’s Faculty of Technology, Engineering and the Environment, 2012's event will take place on Saturday 16 June.
Visitors to Millennium Point will be able to watch, play and participate in TechFest’s exciting and inspiring challenges and activities.
Workshops and exhibits will showcase motorsports, robotics, games, 3D modelling, animation, film and TV, 3D architectural modelling and a number of technology competitions for all ages.
Competitions
The heart of TechFest is its competitions, including UK Micromouse - an annual international competition in which robotic 'mice' compete to solve a maze. The Faculty first hosted the event in 2004 and every year the competition gets bigger and better.
