Re-thinking HE Pedagogies and Practice
The Re-thinking Pedagogies and Practices cluster explores pedagogic concepts and their implications for HE practices with a particular focus on education and health. The cluster embraces an interdisciplinary focus on critical innovation and change and provides a forum for discussing pedagogy and subject specialism. The introduction of the Teaching Excellence Framework provides a policy backdrop for the important work of this cluster.
The Re-thinking Childhood cluster aims to move beyond traditional boundaries between disciplines, foster shared understanding amongst practitioners and encourage new directions in research in relation to children. It aims to explore a variety of methodological approaches to researching children and childhoods in the context of the families, communities and cultures in which they grow up.
The Re-thinking Creativities cluster involves all forms of generative thinking, including innovative approaches to creative processes in education. This encompasses creative learning, creative teaching, and education for creativity.
Re-thinking Practitioner Enquiry
The re-thinking practitioner enquiry cluster opens a space for conceptualising and theorising practitioner education and for foregrounding the centrality of practitioner experience in research innovation. This cluster is particularly interested in developing conversations about practitioners as researchers and building and developing practitioner research capability internally and externally as well as across disciplines.
