Centres of Excellence
As set out in the five-year Research Strategy, the new Centres of Excellence are advancing the research, innovation and enterprise agenda of the University to maximise uptake and application of new knowledge by external stakeholders.
The Centres of Excellence:
- act as a focus for research, innovation and enterprise
- build on existing strengths and develop new strategic areas of research
- undertake employer engagement and third-stream enterprise activity
- develop cross-disciplinary capability
- create a marketing and development plan for self sustainability
- demonstrate the contribution to teaching, learning, innovation and enterprise
