Got big ambitions? You could get a taste of your dream career at Birmingham City University's Future Creatives workshops for 13-16 year olds!
Find out what it’s like to make games for a living, design exciting brand campaigns, produce radio shows, run a business, work in TV or even be a fashion photographer!
Each workshop is supervised by experienced trainers and lasts between 3 and 5 days during school holidays at our facilities in Birmingham city centre.
How much? It costs £50 a day per pupil, and provides fantastic hands-on activities and training; setting you on the path to a creative career in a job you love!

Future Creative: BBC Broadcast - Kick-start your path to becoming a respected radio journalist with our fantastic, BBC endorsed, 5-day workshop. Future Creative: BBC Broadcast gives teenagers hands-on experience in creating and producing news and feature items for radio.
Future Creative: Design- Fancy rubbing shoulders with the rich and famous, running multi-million pound advertising campaigns for big brands, or being the first to make the most of the next Facebook? Many do, and so Future Creative: Design has been tailored to 13-16 year olds dreaming of a future job in the world of media, PR or marketing.
Future Creative: Enterprise- Want to be more than just an apprentice? Grasp the basics of business with Future Creative: Enterprise and get a taste of what it’s like to run a small company. Under the supervision of key personnel from Birmingham City University and our partners NatWest in this fun business challenge!
Future Creative: Games (Intro)- On this 4-day intensive course students will gain an understanding of practical game design and how to affect user experience within a real time game environment.
Future Creative: Games (Advanced)- This session is aimed at high performing pupils in Maths, Science or Art. On this course students will use professional games development or art tools to create a playable game for PC.
Future Creative: Photography- Love Photography? Love Fashion? Future Creative: Photography is a four-day practical course for students looking for experience and to develop a portfolio in fashion photography.
Future Creative: Radio- If you're always being told to be quiet in class, why not use it to your advantage with a career in radio! Not so sure? Take a four day dip into the world of live radio with this fantastic four-day radio production workshop for 13-16 year olds; Future Creative: Radio.
Future Creative: TV- Future Creative: TV is a five-day programme for 13-16 year olds wanting to experience of working in TV first hand. Pupils will be supervised by and work closely with experienced tutors with extensive production experience at the BBC and Endemol UK.
