Scott has a clinical background in emergency department nursing. He enjoys working across the different areas of emergency medicine but takes a keen interest in assessment, recognition and management of patients, especially initial assessment, care of the patient involved in trauma and patient flow streaming.
He has been a Practice Placement Charge Nurse, a role that has allowed him to support students and mentors in practice and a role that he will be able to continue as a Placement Support Tutor, visiting students in clinical practice.
In 2016 Scott became a West Midlands Central Accident, Resuscitation and Emergency (CARE) Team trainee nurse. This team operates on charitable donations and the team are all volunteers. Scott’s work within this organisation sees him working alongside doctors, nurses, paramedics and other health care professionals delivering enhanced critical care to serious medical and injured personas across the West Midlands.
