A television student has been capturing scenes in Birmingham at full speed - a city that doesn't stand still. James Greig's unique view of Birmingham has now received regional recognition when his work was featured on BBC Midlands Today.
Using the technique of time-lapse photography which causes sequences to appear much faster and thus lapsing, he captured the city in a way that shows a rapid change in the its cultural spectrum.
James was inspired by the vibrant life of the city and decided to give other people an idea on how he sees Birmingham through his lenses. He managed to express a sense of busyness - intense hustle and bustle - that happens in Birmingham City Centre on a daily basis.
BBC Midlands Today spotted his work and found it to be an interesting way of conveying the hectic 'poetry' of the city's life: from people blending around in the main sites to emerging graffiti and urban art.
"Birmingham is more than its reputation, there are location that are brilliant to film," said James.
