What is STEAMhouse?
STEAMhouse is Birmingham City University's centre for innovation, helping businesses, entrepreneurs and creatives develop new products, services and ideas.
We bring businesses, start-ups, researchers, students and creative professionals together to solve problems, develop prototypes, explore new technologies and turn ideas into commercial opportunities. Through access to specialist facilities, expertise, collaborative workspace and a network of partners, we help people move from initial concept to practical application.
Whether you're a business looking to innovate, an entrepreneur developing a new product or an organisation tackling a complex challenge, STEAMhouse provides the space, support and connections to help you make it happen.
Based at Birmingham City University, STEAMhouse brings Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) together to drive innovation and business growth. Housed in a restored Victorian industrial building, it builds on Birmingham's rich manufacturing heritage to turn ideas into practical solutions and create impact across the region and far beyond.
