Semina Akhta is an 8 year old girl, admitted to the ward with abdominal pain via A&E. She has a pyrexia and has a suspected perforated appendix. Semina is currently nil by mouth and has an IVI running. Surgeons have requested a NG tube is passed. You are required to conduct a prioritised nursing assessment and prepare Semina for theatre.

The learning in this simulation is focussed around Robert Powell a 5 year old boy who has been admitted with exacerbation of his asthma. Here learners can practice their approach to a structured assessment of Robert, explore his history and learn more about asthma management.
