The Law School is celebrating being shortlisted in three categories for the national E-Learning Awards 2011. The awards are recognised nationally as the acclaimed industry standard and celebrate e-learning success across a number of sectors.
The Law School’s application was based on their Virtual Solicitors’ Office (VSO), which was set up in collaboration with the University’s Educational Development Service (EDS) as part of the University’s virtual learning environment ‘Shareville’. The virtual office provides students in the Law School with on-line problem based scenarios, which relate directly to the sorts of cases that solicitors will come across in practice. The scenarios are presented to students in a realistic way, with real people playing out scenarios that would commonly occur in the legal world.

The E-Learning Awards Ceremony will take place in London on Thursday 10 November 2011.
