Phillip has carried out a diverse range of duties within a 22-year career as a Royal Air Force Telecommunication Technician, primarily employed on the maintenance and commissioning of strategic and tactical satellite and HF communications systems.
He was employed as a technical trainer within trade, both in the UK and overseas, before leaving the military and taking on a lecturing role within the BT Apprenticeship training programme at Newcastle-Under-Lyme college. He joined Birmingham City University as a Cisco Academy Trainer in January 2009.
