Ever wondered what it's like to be a teacher? We are offering you the chance to find out.
Our popular Student Associates Scheme is a 20 day programme which runs annually in June/July. If you are interesting a pursuing a career in teaching this course can provide you with a valuable insight into the profession of teaching.

What's involved?
- You will spend 15 days in a school placement and 5 days in taught sessions at the University
- You will learn how to work with pupils in the classroom
- You will take part in a widening participation programme, encouraging pupils from non-traditional backgrounds into higher education
Who can apply?
Anyone currently studying a relevant HND, foundation degree, undergraduate degree or postgraduate programme, subject to certain conditions is eligible to apply. If you study a subject area which is under-represented in schools, (Maths, Sciences, Modern Foreign Languages, ICT, Design & Technology, Food Technology, RE and Music) we would particularly like to hear from you.
