Making your application

Step 4: After you’ve been made an offer

If you accept a conditional offer, we will confirm your place on the course once you have met those conditions. Sometimes, even if you don’t achieve the required grades of the offer, it may still be possible to reserve a place on the course.

If you receive an offer of a place, you may wish to visit the University to discuss your application and see our facilities before deciding whether to accept the offer. Our Open Days provide an opportunity for this. We also hold Taster Days for offer holders.

If you’re not accepted on your chosen course, or your place is not confirmed after we’ve received your results, you may find an alternative place through Clearing. Please call the Clearing Helpline on: +44 (0)121 331 6777 from mid-August.

Deferred entry

If you’re thinking about taking a year out before coming to the University, we will be happy to consider your application for deferred entry if you hold an unconditional offer, particularly if you plan to use the time constructively. Please put this application in writing to our Admissions Department for consideration, quoting your UCAS number.
