Dr. Igho Ekiugbo is a lecturer of Management – Logistics and Supply Chain Management within the department of Strategy, Management and Marketing, Birmingham City Business School. He teach across different undergraduate and postgraduate courses within the Business and Management Subject Groups.

Before joining BCU Dr. Igho Ekiugbo had earlier studied and lectured at Salford Business School, University of Salford, Manchester, where he obtained his master’s degree in Procurement, Logistics and Supply Chain Management with Distinction and PhD in Business and Management in 2014 and 2019 respectively. Thereafter he joined the University Campus of Football Business, Manchester Campus, teaching across multiple business and management courses until November 2020 when he joined BCU.

Dr. Igho Ekiugbo is passionate about sustainability, and his research mainly focus on sustainability issues and challenges of business operations including procurement, logistics and supply chain functions. He is also very keen on International Business Management and Strategy, Buyer – Supplier Relationship Development and Management and the use of Big Data to support business decisions. He has in the past explored the links between sustainable procurement and sustainable development goals, as well as institutional theory and the implementation of sustainability practices within the procurement function of Oil and Gas sector firms.
