GIVE US A BRIEF OVERVIEW OF YOUR PROJECT
It is a high jewellery inspired necklace featuring a large pear cut citrine, inspired by grains and harvests. There are also matching earrings also leaning into the wheat imagery.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE THIS CONCEPT?
I live on my partners farm and I find the lifestyle and landscape so inspiring from the hedgerows to the crops and animals I chose this project to celebrate this part of my life while also using as many skills and techniques that I’ve learned on the HND course as possible.
WHAT PROCESSES HAVE YOU BEEN USING?
I have used CAD, casting, stone setting, micro-setting and hand forming amongst other techniques.
WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO ACHIEVE WITH YOUR PROJECT?
A beautiful high jewellery inspired necklace and earring set.
HOW HAS YOUR COURSE HELPED YOU TO PREPARE FOR WORKING ON YOUR PROJECT?
I’ve learned so many skills in the course and I’ve tried to include as many as I possibly can within the projecy. The tutors have also been extremely supportive of my ideas.
