Graduate Re-Tune
The Graduate Re-Tune project is a successful, multi-award winning partnership between BCU, Aston University, the University of Birmingham, University College Birmingham, the National Careers Service (NCS), and the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) Jobcentre Plus, designed to help local graduates re-engage with the graduate jobs market.
Operating since 2019, this unique and innovative employment and skills initiative helps graduates based in the Birmingham and Solihull areas with tailored, progression-focused support to secure graduate‑level work.
Graduate Re-Tune investigates the causes of local graduate unemployment and under-employment, and uses this intelligence to deliver a structured model of engagement, intervention, and progression and support opportunities that tackle skills gaps and personal barriers. It is the only project of its kind that sees universities working in partnership with DWP.
If you are a graduate registered with a Jobcentre in Birmingham or Solihull, or an employer, or an organisation who would like to work with Graduate Re‑Tune, please contact the team at: retune@bcu.ac.uk for more information.
