Throughout her 19 years working at BCU Lisa has enjoyed a variety of roles including Associate Dean (Teaching, Education and Student Experience) Associate Head of School for Nursing and Midwifery, Head of Department for Children’s and Young People’s Health, Deputy Programme Leader for Children’s Nursing, Senior Lecturer and Lecturer Practitioner. Lisa works collaboratively to both create and achieve clear strategic vision, with an emphasis on action to achieve excellence. Lisa is known for an optimistic and fair approach to leadership, aiming to inspire trust within empowering working relationships.

Lisa has a passion for achieving excellence in student experience with special interests in employability, student retention, leadership, digital learning, inclusivity and social media. Lisa's background is Children’s Nursing with a love of intensive care nursing.

Lisa is currently a PhD student with research centred around ‘A narrative inquiry of student children’s nurses experiences as they transition into qualified practice in a Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) over a 12 month period.'
