    Description: This lunchtime session is designed to support healthcare professionals in developing effective approaches to learning bioscience. The session will focus on strategies for engaging with complex concepts, managing scientific terminology, and integrating bioscience knowledge within healthcare practice. Emphasis will be placed on practical study techniques that help build confidence and efficiency in learning.

  • Early rehabilitation following critical illness

    24 September, 12-1pm

    DescriptionThe recent NCEPOD (2025) Recovery, Beyond Survival Report highlights the continuing challenges and shortcomings in the rehabilitation pathway following critical illness. This learning event will explore the complex needs individuals may experience after critical care. The session will discuss rehabilitation needs across the patient pathway from critical care to community.

  • Tracheostomy Care in Critical Care

    1 October, 12-1pm

    DescriptionThis session will provide an overview of the nursing considerations and the care required to holistically provide care for a patient with a tracheostomy. This session will provide an opportunity for you to reflect on your own practice for this common but often an area nurses, particularly junior nurses, are less confident in within critical care nursing.

  • Agitation & Restraint

    8 October, 12-1pm

    DescriptionJoin us for a CPD session on agitation and restraint use in the ICU!

    This session will provide an overview of causes and risk factors for agitation for critically ill patients, how it should be assessed and managed, and ways to reduce restraint use. This session will provide an opportunity for you to reflect on your own practice for this common, yet often challenging and complex issue within critical care nursing.
