WELCOME TO YOUR BIRMINGHAM CITY UNIVERSITY GRADUATION!
We’re so pleased to see you and excited to celebrate your achievements today.
To make sure you are ready for your ceremony, we have put together a helpful checklist of where you need to go next.
What should you do next?
Register and collect your name card
Please keep your name with you, you will need it to cross the stage!
Pick up your gown from Hall 4
Graduate gowns are to be collected from Hall 4, please make sure you have your confirmation email ready.
Only students are allowed in Hall 4 so please advise your family and friends to help themselves to complimentary refreshments in Hall 3.
Have professional photographs taken in Hall 3
Now you're dressed to impress, head down to Hall 3 to meet your guests and have your photographs taken.
Enjoy complimentary refreshments in Hall 3
Share e-tickets with your guests
The quicker they get them, the quicker can get to their seats! Any remaining available tickets can be purchased from the Symphony Hall box office.
Leave personal belongings with your guests or at the cloakroom
Please don’t take any personal belongings into the ceremony with you as you may not return to your original seat after you cross the stage.
Take your seat
Please be seated in Symphony Hall no later than:
- 9:15am for the morning ceremony
- 1:15pm for the afternoon ceremony
- 5:15pm for the evening ceremony
Time to graduate!
Give a big smile as your moment on stage is captured by our photographers. See if you can find your photo on our display boards in the Symphony Hall foyers on Level 4.
Return your gown
After your ceremony and when you’ve taken all the selfies you need, please return your gown to our dedicated drop off point in the ICC Mall (near the exit doors leading to the Library in Centenary Square).
