Music alumnus launches new project

BMus (Hons) Jazz alumnus Elliot Sansom, along with his brother Olly, have launched ‘Spotlight on Birmingham,’ amplifying Birmingham's emerging voices by offering artists the chance to apply for free workshops and interviews recorded at Sansom Studios.

Graduate returns to Harper Lee adaptation for UK tour

Phillipa Flynn, who graduated from our School of Acting in 2002, has joined the cast of the UK tour of ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’, taking on the roles of Miss Stephanie and Dill’s Mother. “Having been part of the West End company, it’s a real privilege to return to this extraordinary production with such a stellar cast and creative team,” Phillippa said. The tour kicks off at Leeds Playhouse in September 2025, and then visits Birmingham in April 2026.
