As part of the senior management for the Faculty of Health, Education and Life Sciences (HELS), Maxine has responsibility for setting the vision and deciding the direction of travel of the Faculty, contributing to all major strategic decisions and ensuring the smooth running and implementation of operational policy.
She is responsible for: the strategic development and operational implementation of research & enterprise links to learning and teaching including advances in curriculum design, programme structure, and timetabling, and the student experience.
She oversees staff development – CPD Framework, mentoring and coaching, promotions, formal development, peer observations, training programs, and higher degrees and liaises with estates to continually improve the campus environment.

Research
Professor Lintern’s research interests range from biomedical science, bioengineering and cognitive psychology, use of science in the law and leadership, patient care and clinical outcomes, to digital educational projects with impact on the student experience here and across the world. She collaborates with teams across different subject disciplines, Universities (Cambridge, UCL, Staffordshire, Pace (US)), NHS trusts, industry and manages international projects as well as being an experienced PhD examiner and viva chair.
