World Education Services (WES)

Birmingham City University now uses the online platform World Education Services (WES) to upload your documents to help process your application. You must have your certificate and transcript before you can submit a request to the Verifications team. In the instance that you have not yet received your award documents, please contact certificates@bcu.ac.uk

If you have received your document and require this service, please contact verifications@bcu.ac.uk with the below information:

  • Student name and date of birth
  • High quality scan of your certificate and/or transcript. Please ensure these are separate PDF files or these will not be accepted by WES and you will need to resubmit
  • Proof of ID to verify your identity – this can either be your passport, a valid UK license or birth certificate. Passport numbers are not accepted as proof of ID
  • WES reference number – all students with a WES application. Your WES reference number is either a 6-digit or 7-digit number that usually starts with 4, 5, or 6. Without this we will be unable to upload your documents

Once all the information has been supplied, a member of our team will certify and attest your documents and upload these to WES. WES will then contact you to let you know if your application can proceed, or if there has been an issue with the documents you have provided.
