British-Malawian photographer Gift JR Gwambe, who graduated in 2017, is presenting ‘BOHBOH: A Familiar Stranger’ at Copeland Gallery in London.

John Burton is often referred to as the Rollercoaster King, and in 2024, he was behind the creation of Thorpe Park’s biggest ever project, ‘ Hyperia ’ .   

Ed O’Driscoll  was unable to attend his graduation ceremony after his father sadly passed away on the day that he was due to graduate from BCU.   

The novel, ‘Dead Real’, is an illustrated Young Adult ‘Zom-Com’ which tells the story of an apocalyptic road trip across the Black Country – and a complicated love story.

A BCU graduate has won the award for Youth Activist of the Year at the Inspirational Youth Awards 2025. 

Three recent BCU graduates, who are now working alongside each other at a local creative marketing agency, are already excelling in their careers on the same campus where they studied.

Liam is now a Cruise Director for Marella Cruises, one of the biggest cruise lines in the world.

Nicola Coughlan, star of Bridgerton and Derry Girls graduated from Royal Birmingham Conservatoire’s School of Acting in 2011. Originally from Galway in the west of Ireland, Nicola studied at Birmingham City University before moving to London. Here’s a look at some of her best-known roles so far!
