Neil Peacock’s career in the energy industry spans 40 years and includes a number of senior positions within major companies involved in energy-related activities, particularly small-scale combined heat and power (CHP) and energy services.

He started his career with British Gas Research and Development and gained an ONC, HND and Polytechnic Diplomas at the then Birmingham Polytechnic through night school, day release and sandwich courses. Before moving on, Neil had attained the position of scientist engineer with British Gas.

Neil has first-hand experience of contracting, manufacturing and consulting. A large proportion of Neil's career has been spent in technical and general management and sales and marketing in energy and energy services.

His key achievements include starting a small-scale CHP business, managing a successful building services consulting team and building an energy services business - where he played a leading role in developing one of the UK's early major energy PFI contracts. He is now Managing Director of Energy International, joining the then Energy International Inc. in 1998.

Neil is a Chartered Engineer, a Fellow of both the Institution of Mechanical Engineering and the Energy Institute. For several years Neil was an active participant in the Energy Institute acting as regional Branch Chairman and as a Council member with responsibility for branches.

Neil has been accredited by the Energy Institute, The Carbon Trust and RE Think Energy. He remains a Carbon Trust Standard Assessor.

When not working, Neil is a keen yachtsman, having twice competed in the Fastnet Race.
