Sports hall activities
The eight court Sports Hall has a semi-sprung wood floor and is marked out for:
- 5-a-side football
- Indoor Cricket
- Table Tennis
The fully air conditioned gym has over 80 pieces of fitness equipment to choose from including cardiovascular (great for your heart and lungs), resistance equipment (great for toning the body) and a free weights area. So, whether your goal is to lose weight, look good or feel great, our team of qualified fitness instructors are on hand to help you get the most from your workout sessions.
All weather pitch
The all weather pitch at the The Doug Ellis Sports Centre boasts a full sized synthetic sand based Astroturf which is fully flood lit. It is suitable for many sports including football, hockey, and is capable of comfortably hosting three games at any one time. Discounted rates available for BCU students, staff and block bookings.
There are three workout studios providing a range of activities and classes to complement your gym programme.
Studio 1: Contains equipment for 'core' training including medicine balls and fitballs.
Studio 2: Home to 21 spinning bikes. Using stationary indoor bikes, spinning is a great way to have a vigorous workout which burns calories and keeps muscles in shape.
Studio 3: Caters for up to 40 people and offers a wide variety of classes.Choose from Body Pump or Body Combat for a high intensity workout or for mind and body why not try yoga or Pilates?
